Healthcare Triangle appoints Sumit Ganguli as CEO of AI subsidiary
He will lead AI-driven healthcare services, expand strategic partnerships, and drive recurring revenue growth.

California-based Healthcare Triangle has appointed veteran Indian-American healthcare technology executive Sumit Ganguli as chairman and chief executive officer of its wholly owned AI-focused subsidiary, Purpose Health Inc.
The company said Purpose Health will focus on developing AI infrastructure, agentic AI, cloud, cybersecurity and data management solutions for healthcare providers, payors, life sciences and medical technology companies across the United States and international markets.

Ganguli, who has more than three decades of experience in healthcare technology and IT services, will lead the subsidiary's strategy of building AI-led managed services and long-term recurring revenue partnerships.
Healthcare Triangle said the new business model aims to create capital-efficient growth while increasing shareholder value through multi-year client engagements.
Expressing his vision for the company, Ganguli said healthcare organizations require partners that understand both technology and the operational realities of the sector as AI rapidly reshapes healthcare delivery.

Healthcare Triangle chief financial officer David Ayanoglou described Ganguli as the right leader to drive the company's next phase of growth, citing his extensive healthcare expertise and ability to build scalable technology services businesses.
During his previous leadership role between 2009 and 2024, Ganguli helped expand a healthcare technology company eighteen-fold to approximately $175 million in revenue while growing its workforce to nearly 4,000 employees.
He also led major healthcare transformation projects valued between $25 million and $300 million and contributed to the development of reinforcement learning-based AI operations tools in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
Ganguli holds a doctorate in business administration from Drexel University and has also studied at Harvard Business School, NYU Stern School of Business and Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
