Kanan Patel, a young Indian American entrepreneur and founder of Kayura, says her skincare brand was born from a personal struggle. “I had my own issues with acne, allergies, and acne marks,” she said. “That really led me to pursue my master’s in pharmaceuticals and cosmetic science.”

Her academic pursuit shaped a deeper understanding of skin biology and ingredients — knowledge that now anchors Kayura’s philosophy of “blending Ayurvedic wisdom with modern science.” From that fusion came products like the Bright Aura serum for hyperpigmentation, Do Restore barrier repair cream, and Rais mineral sunscreen. Recently, Patel expanded into hair care with the Golden Legacy Ayurvedic oil, which is made entirely in India.
