HindiUSA St. Louis hosted a large-scale Navratri and Diwali celebration on Oct. 3 at the Hindu Temple of St. Louis Cultural and Educational Center.

The event, drawing more than 450 attendees for an evening of devotion, dance, and community spirit, began with a traditional aarti to Goddess Durga, followed by lively dandiya and garba performances.

The event emphasized participation from all ages, making it one of the most family-oriented Navratri gatherings in the region.

“We are thrilled to see such overwhelming enthusiasm from our students, parents, and volunteers,” said HindiUSA St. Louis co-founder Mayank Jain. “Our goal has always been to create an environment where families celebrate together and children experience Indian traditions with pride and joy.”

The evening featured a variety of attractions, including kids’ raffle draws, face painting, balloon art, and fireworks. Food stalls offering traditional Indian cuisine and vendor booths selling jewelry, décor, and ethnic wear contributed to the festive atmosphere. A professional DJ added to the energy, keeping the crowd dancing late into the night.

A parents’ raffle and fundraiser further engaged the community, helping support HindiUSA’s ongoing programs. “This event showcases the unity and cultural vibrancy of the Indian-American community in St. Louis,” said Anshu Jain, co-founder of HindiUSA St. Louis. “We are grateful to all the teachers, volunteers, and families whose efforts made this celebration possible.”
