Yale University will host the inaugural Yale India Forum on Oct. 3-4, bringing together leaders from business, government, academia, arts and sports for a two-day summit focused on India's growing global influence.

The forum, to be held on Yale's campus in New Haven, Connecticut, marks the first time in the university's more than 300-year history that India will be the focus of a university-wide celebration, according to organizers.

The event is part of Yale's Global India Season, an initiative that will feature programming across the university's schools, institutions and research centers. The forum is intended to foster dialogue on India's evolving role in the global economy and its contributions across multiple sectors.

Organizers said the event will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions and networking sessions involving Indian entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, artists, athletes, cultural figures and academic leaders. Discussions will explore developments in business, technology, public policy, entertainment, sports, fashion and the arts.

The forum also aims to strengthen connections between Yale, India and the global Indian diaspora by creating opportunities for collaboration among students, industry leaders, investors and scholars.

In addition to formal discussions, participants will take part in networking events designed to encourage partnerships and the exchange of ideas. Organizers said the initiative seeks to provide a platform for conversations on India's future and its expanding role on the world stage.

“The Yale India Forum aims to become an enduring annual platform for connection and conversation around India’s next chapter,” the organisers said in a statement.

By convening leaders from across sectors, organizers hope the forum will encourage long-term collaboration and deepen ties between Yale University and India's public and private institutions.
