End green card country quotas to get skilled workforce: Thanedar

Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar has called for faster visa processing and an end to country-based green card quotas, saying the United States needs skilled immigrants to strengthen its economy and create more American jobs.

In an exclusive interview with IANS, the Democratic lawmaker from Michigan said immigrants had played a central role in America's growth across medicine, research, innovation, science and technology.

The congressman took an oath to uphold the laws of the USA and work for the community he represents. It seems he is more interested in bringing people from India to the United States under an accelerated program to rush the green card process. Are you stupid? There are federal laws against what you are doing. He also feels that, if not for Indians, Silicon Valley would not survive. News flash: Silicon Valley was formed a long time ago, long before they arrived. It was built by Americans with the vision and gumption to innovate and get things done. If the congressman goes around saying things like this, he will not be in office for long. The USA is not Bollywood. He is only interested in Indians coming to the USA, and not people from any other countries. Suggestion: Go back to India and start your crusade there. Mr. Modi might even give you a local Nobel Prize

I wonder frequently how these politicians such as Thanedar and others get elected, but are clueless about a lot of things and are quick to comment on matters that they have so little knowledge. I am conviunced that the US is treading down the path to become a third world country. Smart people are so resultant to enter politics that has become a swamp of bad ideas and performance. And this results in such idiots like him, AOC, Syed ...and a host of others to enter politics and erode any integrity that remains. Thje general populous needs to wake up and choose ones that are better than the ones that occupy such positions. And this goes across political parties.
