The group will focus on how enterprises are transforming supply chain operations through AI-driven demand forecasting, real-time data visibility, cloud ERP platforms and resilient operating models, a statement noted.

“Supply chains now sit at the intersection of technology, operations, and trust,” Rai said in a statement. “This group will focus on sharing proven, real-world practices for building resilient and intelligent supply chains.”

John-Mark Davidson, director of member connections for Forbes Councils, said Rai brings practical experience to the role. “Dileep brings deep, hands-on experience in enterprise technology and a thoughtful, practitioner-focused perspective on how supply chains are evolving into strategic, intelligent systems,” Davidson said.

Rai said his focus as group lead would be on practical collaboration among members. “My goal is to create a practitioner-driven space where members move beyond theory to share what’s actually working to build resilient, intelligent, and future-ready supply chains,” he said.

Forbes Councils is a collection of invitation-only communities created in partnership with Forbes, bringing together senior leaders and business owners to collaborate, exchange insights and access resources aimed at professional growth.

At Hachette Book Group, Rai manages enterprise-wide migration to Oracle SCM Cloud, deploys AI-powered demand forecasting tools, builds an internal Oracle ERP Center of Excellence, and leads large-scale automation of procurement, planning, inventory and order management systems.

Prior to that, Rai worked with Oracle, PwC, Western Digital and Tata Consultancy Services, implementing and supporting large-scale Oracle ERP and supply chain programmes for global enterprises across multiple industries.

Rai holds a master of business administration in logistics, materials and supply chain management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He earned a bachelor of engineering in computer science from Oriental Institute of Science & Technology, Bhopal.
