Malai Marke, a popular Indian restaurant in New York, has launched a new menu featuring regional Indian flavors with contemporary touches for diners.
The updated selection curated by Himanshu Joshi, sous chef at Malai Marke, emphasizes the diversity of Indian cuisine and includes appetizers, kebabs, curries, biryanis, and desserts drawn from traditions throughout the country, the restaurant said.

Joshi said, “Our aim was to bring together the authentic flavors of India while offering guests a diverse and memorable dining experience. Each dish reflects the richness of regional Indian cuisine and the traditions that inspire our kitchen.”
Small plates feature items such as Onion Bhaja, Samosa, Kurkuri Bhindi, and Ragara Patties, evoking Indian street food. The kebab offerings include tandoor-grilled specialties like Paneer Tikka, Chicken Malai, Murgh Haryali, and Achari Chicken Tikka, prepared with aromatic spice marinades.
Main courses showcase regional specialties, including Dhabe Wala Murgh, Chicken Xacuti, Coondapur Kori, Fish Moilee, and Allepy Red Curry from coastal regions. Lamb dishes comprise Rogan Josh and Lamb Dhansak, complemented by stir-fried Balti and Kadai preparations.
Vegetarian options hold a central place, with dishes such as Saag Paneer, Malai Kofta, Baigan Bharta, and the signature Dal Makhani, a slow-cooked black lentil preparation noted for its creamy texture and comforting taste.
The menu also lists aromatic biryanis like Chicken Biryani, Lamb Biryani, and Paneer Biryani, alongside various breads, rice dishes, and beverages. Desserts include traditional choices such as Gulab Jamun, Rasmalai, and Malai Kulfi.
