Organizers said the event was intended to reflect on the BJP’s political journey and its ideological themes, including Antyodaya, Integral Humanism and Nation First.
A video presentation prepared by the Raleigh team traced the party’s evolution over the decades and highlighted the goal of Viksit Bharat, or a developed India by 2047.
The event also featured remarks from local elected representatives and community leaders, including Sue Mu, council member in Apex; Sarika Bansal, council member in Cary; and Satish Garimella, council member in Morrisville.
Other speakers included Manoj Pandya, former president of the Hindu Society of North Carolina, and Himanshu Desai, a former president of the organization and senior member of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
Organizers said the gathering focused on civic participation, multicultural engagement and the role of the Indian diaspora in discussions around India’s long-term development goals.
The event was held as BJP leaders and workers across India marked the party’s foundation day with flag-hoisting ceremonies, outreach drives and public events centered on the party’s organizational history and its Viksit Bharat vision.
