The Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) – Raleigh Chapter celebrated the party’s recent Bihar election victory with a vibrant cultural event.
The celebration in November began with a traditional Ganesha Puja, followed by Prokshana performed with sacred water (Punya Jal) from Manasa Sarovaram, devotional praarthanas sung by Sahasra Kurapati.
Attendees also joined in singing Vande Mataram and the US National Anthem, underscoring the spirit of patriotism and unity.
The event saw a discussion on the key highlights of the Bihar victory, including the state’s development and progress under the BJP-led coalition government.
Speakers from the Raleigh Chapter, including the CEO of MAA Laboratories, Dr. Anajani Kumar Jha, and the Senior Director at PWC, Vijay Rangaraju, among others, shared their perspectives on the significance of this victory.
The chapter also showcased its recent initiatives, including the 5K Run for Viksit Bharat and support for local community programs such as Sewa Diwali for the donation of 6.6k lbs of food.
The event included an engaging trivia session that tested participants’ knowledge of the BJP’s evolution, and the celebration culminated in a Gamcha Ceremony to mark the unity and commitment among Karyakartas.
Raleigh chapter coordinator Raju Kurapati shared the vision for the upcoming elections and other impactful initiatives in 2026, and the event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, dinner, and networking, reinforcing the chapter’s dedication to community engagement and impactful initiatives.
