Could Ro Khanna be the next speaker? X Poll ignites debate
The poll comes a day after Khanna said his priority is backing Jeffries for Speaker while outlining his broader political ambitions.

A social media poll by journalist Mehdi Hasan has sparked fresh buzz around Ro Khanna as a potential contender for House Speaker, if Democrats regain control of the chamber in November.
In the April 9 poll, Hasan asked whether Khanna should challenge Hakeem Jeffries for the role. Results at the time of writing showed 89 percent of respondents backing the idea, with 7 percent opposed and 5 percent unsure, based on more than 2,100 votes.
