Open Atlas Summit / ASAN
Open Atlas, a US-based community of skilled immigrants, and the American South Asian Network (ASAN), a national nonprofit for young South Asian immigrants, are collaborating to host the second annual Open Atlas Summit.
Scheduled for Aug. 21-22 at the India Community Center in Milpitas, the summit will bring together more than 1,000 high-skilled immigrants, founders, investors, students, professionals and community leaders.
The summit will open with a startup job fair and hackathon on Aug. 21, followed by keynotes, workshops and discussions on immigration, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, admissions, personal finance and professional development on Aug. 22.

The two-day summit will feature more than 50 speakers and three programming tracks focused on careers, entrepreneurship and immigration. Organizers said the event is designed to provide practical guidance and opportunities for attendees building careers, companies and lives in the United States.
The Founders and Builders track will cover fundraising, go-to-market strategies, company building and immigration considerations for immigrant entrepreneurs. The Career and Craft track will address technology careers, management, compensation, hiring, layoffs and career mobility. The Visas and Belonging track will feature immigration attorneys, former government officials and immigrants discussing pathways, including O-1, EB-1A, and EB-2 NIW visas.
Organizers said attendees will also have access to a Legal Lounge offering one-on-one consultations on topics including starting a company, intellectual property, founder interests and immigration strategies.
