Former U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy, will serve as the keynote speaker of an upcoming summit on inclusion and the power of human connections.
Titled, 'Inclusion Seekers Summit 2025,' the event will be hosted at the Cincinnati Art Museum on Oct. 9.
The summit will be organized by Cincinnati based non-profit, Starfire.
Starfire seeks to build inclusive communities by investing in the strengths and stories of people with developmental disabilities. Founded in 1993, Starfire partners with individuals, families, and local changemakers to break down social isolation, foster belonging, and promote meaningful social roles.
The Inclusion Seekers Summit aims to bring change by equipping individuals and organizations to combat isolation. The Summit strives to outline strategies to overcome loneliness by promoting authentic community connections.
Alongside Dr. Murthy, speakers including Nithya Narayan, a member of Starfire's Family Leadership team and pediatrician-author Dr. Tasha Faruqui, among others, will share their varied perspectives on combating loneliness. The long list of speakers range from architects working to encourage projects focused on inclusive placemaking to community builders, doctors, and artists.
