Shots fired at Indian comedian Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Canada

A restaurant recently opened by Indian comedian Kapil Sharma in Canada was struck by gunfire on July 10. The incident has sparked widespread concern within the South Asian diaspora. According to Surrey Police Service (SPS), officers responded at approximately 1:50 a.m. to a report of shots fired at a business in the Newton neighbourhood. Spent shell casings were recovered, CCTV footage is under review, and a forensic investigation is ongoing.
