The India Association of North Texas hosted a youth volleyball tournament on June 27 at Frisco Flyers Volleyball Courts, bringing together teams from across the Dallas-Fort Worth region for a day of competition focused on sportsmanship, teamwork and community engagement.

The tournament drew multiple youth teams representing local groups and community networks. According to the organization, the event was organized to encourage physical activity while helping young participants build leadership, discipline and teamwork skills.
Players competed in a series of matches throughout the day as families and supporters gathered to watch and cheer for their teams. Organizers said the tournament was intended to provide opportunities for Indian American youth to connect with one another through sports.
The association said sports-based initiatives help strengthen community relationships by giving young people positive spaces to interact with their peers while maintaining cultural connections and participating in the broader American community.
In addition to competitive matches, the event included team coordination activities. Volunteers and event coordinators managed tournament operations and encouraged fair play and inclusive participation throughout the day.
The India Association of North Texas thanked participating teams, parents, volunteers and supporters for contributing to the event. The organization said it plans to continue organizing youth-focused programs centered on community engagement, wellness and cultural connection.
