The iconic Chiswick Town Hall in London has transformed into a vibrant hub of Indian culture this weekend with Viraasat UK 2026 running from June 6-7, 2026. The two-day premier cultural festival brings together members of the international Indian diaspora, artists and innovators to celebrate a rich tapestry of art, music, fashion, literature and community.
Organized by UK-based Unity Heritage, the grand showcase features a diverse lineup of global Indian participants. The event serves as a specialized platform highlighting the intersection of traditional heritage and modern diaspora achievements across multiple sectors.
Viraasat UK 2026 has structured its two-day itinerary to bridge creative vision with global business opportunities, focusing on art and culture, design and fashion, and entrepreneurship. Curated events cover live music, literary discussions spotlighting classical and contemporary Indian art forms, exhibition spaces highlighting avant-garde and traditional garments, connecting global Indian designers with international markets, and networking segments designed to foster collaboration between diaspora-led brands, cultural organizations and creative visionaries.
To ensure strong cross-continental engagement, the organizers have partnered with prominent Indian strategic entities, including StoryNest Communications, Picasso and Bhavna Aaj O Kal.
According to the organizing committee, the underlying vision of Viraasat UK 2026 extends far beyond a singular weekend festival. The initiative aims to build a sustainable, long-term ecosystem that consistently promotes Indian heritage, empowers next-generation diaspora entrepreneurs and strengthens global cultural diplomacy.
The event has drawn widespread interest from community leaders and cultural enthusiasts across the United Kingdom, marking it as a significant milestone for the British Indian diaspora calendar this year.
“This is more than an event — it’s a dream built with love, dedication and a deep connection to our roots. For over 26 years, I have called the UK home, yet the longing for a slice of India has always remained close to my heart. Together with my incredible team in London and our partners in India, we have created a cultural pathway where community performers share the same stage as renowned artists from India. Viraasat is about heritage, music, culture and opportunity. It’s about bringing people together and celebrating who we are. It’s also a platform for our talented UK entrepreneurs, especially women-led businesses, to showcase their passion and achievements,” Sanchita Bhattacharya, a UK-based performance artist and entrepreneur, said on the eve of the event.
Dr. Ananda Gupta, a well-known eye surgeon who has been living in the UK for three decades, too, is upbeat about the two-day extravaganza. “This is a spectacular cultural triumph that stands as a shining testament to the power of friendship, community and an enduring passion for the arts. The event comes alive with an enchanting, curated lineup that will keep the audience spellbound, including vibrant performances that span classical roots to contemporary energy; deeply engaging sessions and intellectual discussions; and star-studded shows,” he said.
Dr. Gupta added that the event successfully bridged generations of Indians in the UK, proving that heritage is a living and breathing celebration.
Acclaimed actress Rituparna Sengupta has added significant star power to the event as the official brand ambassador of Viraasat UK 2026. The National Award-winning actress brings her immense cultural influence and artistic prestige to the platform, actively lending her support to the festival’s mission of elevating Indian art, heritage and creative entrepreneurship onto the global stage.
The show features live performances, fashion showcases, literary interactions, cultural exhibitions, heritage displays, business networking opportunities, food experiences and interactive sessions over the weekend in London. The platform is also supporting international young talent and providing aspiring performers, musicians, dancers, designers and creators an opportunity to showcase their talent before a global audience.
