Consul General of India in Shanghai Pratik Mathur welcomed Indian Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat to the vibrant Diwali celebration hosted by the China Indian Community (CIC) in Shanghai.
Amb. Rawat graced the occasion as chief guest — celebrating an evening of lights, music & togetherness with the Indian diaspora and Consuls General from many countries. The festivities featured a vibrant cultural program showcasing singer Khushboo Grewal and India’s rich cultural vibrancy abroad.

Earlier Amb. Rawat and his wife Shruti Rawat attended the vibrant morning Durga Puja celebrations at Shanghai Adda.

Indian traditions, culture and ethos took center stage—invoking Maa Durga’s blessings for strength and prosperity. Devotion, dhunuchi dance and diaspora unity marked a radiant celebration of India’s living heritage abroad.

Participants and devotees also warmly welcomed the start of direct flights between Kolkata & Guangzhou later this month, operated by Indian airlines such as IndiGo.
