Raj Razdan was felicitated at the the Kashmir Literature Festival 2025 on Oct. 12 at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre in Srinagar, Kashmir.
Razdan is the President of the National Federation of Indian American Associations and was recognized for her contributions to fostering appreciation of Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage across the Indian diaspora.
Held on Oct.11 and 12, the literature festival brought together some of the most distinguished voices from across India, creating a vibrant platform for dialogue on literature, history, politics, culture, and contemporary thought.
The Chief Guests of the event were Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and Dr. Karan Singh, the titular Maharaja of the erstwhile princely state of Kashmir and a former Education Minister of India.
Along with Raj Razdan, the festival also honored the contributions of late P.N.Razdan, a former Chief Labor Commissioner of India. His Budgam-Kashmiri heritage was acknowledged and he was recognized for his legacy and service for Labour & Industrial Relations.

The event also featured Vikramaditya Singh, grandson of former Maharaja of Kashmir Karan Singh and a former Member of the J&K Legislative Council. Singh attended the event along with his wife Chitrangada Scindia, a descendant of the Scindia Dynasty of Gwalior.
Expressing joy over the festival, Singh said on Facebook, "A pleasure to attend the Kashmir Literature Festival 2025 in Srinagar!"
He added, "I really look forward to seeing this forum and event grow to the next level which would place Jammu & Kashmir on the national stage for literature and intellectual events."
The Kashmir Literature Festival of 2025 marks the second year of the festival's inception. Organized by Srikula Foundation, the Festival seeks to create a world-class platform to discuss ideas, literature, culture and diverse philosophies.
