Air India cancels New York and Newark flights
Severe winter storm across the U.S. East Coast prompts Feb. 23 suspension

Air India has canceled all flights to and from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport on Feb. 23 due to a severe winter storm forecast across the U.S. East Coast.
The Tata Group-owned carrier said services operating between India and the New York metropolitan area, including JFK and Newark, will remain suspended for the day.

Airport operations at New York and Newark have been affected due to the blizzard, resulting in heavy snowfall. In view of the safety and well-being of our passengers and crew, Air India flights to and from New York and Newark have been cancelled on 24 February.…
The airline cited forecasts of heavy snowfall and strong winds across New York, New Jersey and adjoining regions on Feb. 22 and Feb. 23. Blizzard warnings and travel advisories have been issued in parts of the region, and the storm is expected to disrupt flight operations.

Air India said the decision was taken to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers and crew. The airline added that dedicated teams are in place to assist affected travelers.
