The 396th Birth Anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was marked by CSM 350 (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj 350th Coronation Anniversary), Maharashtra Mandal Chicago and Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America on March 7, in Chicago. The event also featured participation from numerous community organizations, including the Federation of Indian Associations.
Talking about the significance of the event, FIA president Hemant Patel said, " Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj shaped modern Bharat, and his legacy must continue to inspire courage, justice, and cultural pride."
Patel added, "Thanks to the organizers for hosting the event and giving us the opportunity to honor our legendary hero, to whom we owe so much."

The celebrations began with the national anthem of both India and America. This was followed by India's national song, Vande Matram and multiple performances on the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji.
Singer Vira Adimulam, originally from Andhra Pradesh, inspired the audience with a song on the Maratha ruler from the Bollywood movie, 'Chhaava'.
The keynote address was given by INDICA President Avatans Kumar, the event also featured addresses by the likes of VHP-A General Secretary Amitabh Mittal and other notable community leaders.
