Centage appoints Sameer Kamat as chief product officer

In his new role, Kamat will lead Centage's product strategy, driving AI innovation to enhance financial planning, forecasting and decision-making capabilities.

Centage, a Texas-based AI-native financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software provider, has appointed Indian-origin executive Sameer Kamat as its new chief product officer. 

In his new role, Kamat will oversee Centage's product vision, strategy and execution as the company continues developing AI-powered planning tools designed to improve forecasting, budgeting and financial decision-making.

Kamat brings more than 20 years of product leadership experience across software companies and most recently served as chief executive officer of True Loyal, a Scaleworks portfolio company.

Before that, he held leadership roles at TINT, Zinrelo and Filestack, which was acquired by Idera in 2021. Earlier in his career, Kamat spent 15 years at Unitrends, where he helped drive product innovation and business growth.

The appointment comes as businesses increasingly adopt artificial intelligence to streamline financial planning, improve forecasting accuracy and strengthen decision-making. Centage said it is investing in intelligent planning capabilities aimed at helping finance leaders respond more effectively to changing business conditions.

Kamat holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Pune and a master's degree from Texas A&M University.
