Agrawal, who previously served as Vice President, said his leadership will focus on inclusiveness and collaboration. “I now seek the opportunity to lead the organization into its next chapter,” he said. “My vision is for IAGB to evolve into a more dynamic, inclusive, and impact-driven organization, one that not only celebrates Indian heritage but also empowers future generations and deepens its civic footprint.” He outlined priorities such as youth empowerment, civic partnerships, digital engagement, and outreach to underrepresented groups.
Garg, currently the Treasurer of IAGB, emphasized continuity and stronger community ties. “I remain committed to advancing the mission of IAGB and serving the community,” he said. “I believe IAGB should continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of the diverse community while deepening its partnerships across Greater Boston.” Garg highlighted plans to expand year-round programming, engage youth, and strengthen funding and operational transparency.
Outgoing President Tanu Phoenix, whose term ends Sept. 30, reflected on her leadership and transition. “It has been my distinct honor to serve as President of the India Association of Greater Boston,” she said. “Now, my joys know no bound to announce that Nilesh Agrawal will assume the role of President of IAGB starting Oct.1, 2025.” She thanked members, volunteers, and supporters for their contributions over the past two years.
