Seattle Orcas to host inaugural women's T20 exhibition in Washington
Organizers expect the tournament to become an annual fixture on the franchise's calendar while providing a platform for emerging talent to gain exposure.

The Seattle Orcas, on July 30, announced the launch of the inaugural Women's T20 Exhibition aimed at expanding opportunities for women's cricket in the Pacific Northwest.
Organized in partnership with Cricket Impact Group, the event is part of the Major League Cricket franchise's broader effort to support the growth of women's cricket in the United States through elite competition and player development.

The four-day cricket tournament will be held Aug. 20-23 at Tollgate Farm Park in North Bend, Washington. It will feature three teams, the Bellevue Blazers, Redmond Raptors and Washington Waves, competing in a double round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the championship final.
Following the official player draft, the three franchises finalized their rosters, blending emerging domestic players with experienced international cricketers.
The Bellevue Blazers, coached by Sindhu Sriharsha, will be led by marquee player Jivana Aras and feature international signings Aaliyah Alleyne and Jannillea Glasgow.
The Redmond Raptors, under coach Rishi Bhardwaj, have named Anika Kolan as their marquee player, alongside international recruits Qiana Joseph and Achini Perera.
The Washington Waves will be coached by Prajith Mudi and feature marquee player Geetika Kodali, with Jahzara Claxton and Amarpal Kaur joining the squad as international signings.
Each team also includes a strong domestic core, with several Seattle-based players expected to compete alongside international professionals in a high-performance environment.
The Seattle Orcas said the Women's T20 Exhibition is intended to celebrate the future of women's cricket by combining elite competition with community engagement and player development. Organizers expect the tournament to become an annual fixture on the franchise's calendar while providing a platform for emerging talent to gain exposure.
