Curated by his wife, Sukanya Shankar, and daughter, acclaimed sitarist Anoushka Shankar, the ensemble features six hand-picked musicians dedicated to bringing Shankar’s groundbreaking repertoire to life for new audiences.

The artists include: Shubhendra Rao (Sitar), Anubrata Chatterjee (Tabla), B C Manjunath (Mridangam), Ravichandra Kulur (Flute), Padma Shankar (Violin, Vocals), and Aayush Mohan (Sarod). Together, they will present a program highlighting Ravi Shankar’s musical innovation, spiritual depth, and devotion to classical Indian traditions, accompanied by rare archival audio-visual materials.

“The pieces we’ve chosen carry so many shades: complexity and lightness, discipline and abandon. I’m so excited to share this living, breathing celebration of his artistry with new audiences, brought to life by truly incredible musicians who understand the depth of what it means to play his music,” said Anoushka Shankar.

Sukanya Shankar added, “Ravi Shankar, the Indian Sun continues to shine on. Raviji’s influence extends beyond music, encompassing cultural exchange, spiritual exploration, and his role as a global ambassador for India.”

Ravi Shankar’s global influence earned him the Bharat Ratna, five Grammy Awards, and international honors including France’s Legion D’Honneur and a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II.
