Tanvi Deshpande wins inaugural urban affairs award

The award will be formally presented at the International Conference on Urban Affairs in Chicago.

Indian-origin researcher Tanvi Deshpande has been selected to receive the 2026 Best Book Review in the Journal of Urban Affairs Award, becoming the first recipient of the newly established annual honor.

Deshpande will receive the award for her review of the book 'Environmental Justice and Resiliency in an Age of Uncertainty', edited by Celeste Murphy-Greene, published in the January 2025 issue of the journal.
