Princeton student Jaisnav Rajesh wins Spirit of Princeton Award

The annual honor recognizes undergraduates for contributions to student life and campus leadership.

Princeton University senior Jaisnav Rajesh was named a recipient of the 2026 Allen Macy Dulles Spirit of Princeton Award, an honor recognizing undergraduate students for their contributions to campus life.

Rajesh, a computer science major from Plainfield, Illinois, was among eight students selected this year for the award, which is presented annually by the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students. The university said the selection committee received more than 200 nomination letters on behalf of undergraduate students.

The Spirit of Princeton Award recognizes students who have demonstrated commitment to the undergraduate experience through student organizations, athletics, community service, religious life, residential life, and the arts.

At Princeton, Rajesh serves as a residential college adviser at New College West and is part of the residential college leadership team. He is also a peer career adviser with the Center for Career Development, a community ambassador with the Scholars Institute Fellows Program, and a project manager with the Financial Literacy Program. He additionally works as assistant to the editor for the university’s yearbook production team and is a member of Tiger Inn eating club.

Outside campus leadership roles, Rajesh has held internships and research positions in finance, technology policy, and scientific research. He worked as an M&A investment banking intern at Barclays in New York during the summer of 2025 and previously conducted technology policy research through Princeton’s China Lab under the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies.

He also completed internships with Middlemark Partners and Business Today, focusing on investment analysis, corporate partnerships, and business outreach. Earlier, he served as a lead researcher at Fermilab, where he used machine learning techniques to study bias in scientific research and presented findings at conferences, including CERN and the Harvard Science Research Conference.

Rajesh is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science at Princeton University and has also studied at Peking University. He was named Princeton Peer Leader of the Year for 2024-25.
