The visit, scheduled from July 19 to 23, comes amid expanding engagement between the two countries in trade, commerce, connectivity and diplomatic cooperation.
According to the MEA, Martinez-Acha will hold a series of high-level meetings with Indian leaders during his stay in the national capital.
On July 20, he is scheduled to meet Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal at the New Parliament Building to discuss ways to expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Later the same day, Martinez-Acha will hold delegation-level talks with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar at Hyderabad House. The two sides are expected to review the full spectrum of India-Panama relations and explore new areas of cooperation.
On July 21, the Panamanian foreign minister will participate in official engagements in New Delhi before meeting Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal at Transport Bhavan on July 22.
According to the MEA, discussions with Sonowal are expected to focus on maritime cooperation, logistics, port development and enhancing connectivity between the two countries.
Martinez-Acha is scheduled to conclude his visit and depart India on July 23.
The visit follows recent diplomatic engagement between New Delhi and Panama City. Earlier this month, India's Ambassador to Panama, Sumit Seth, met Martinez-Acha to discuss measures to further deepen bilateral ties.
According to the Embassy of India in Panama, Ambassador Seth presented the foreign minister with a ceremonial India-Panama Flags Pin during the meeting. The two sides also exchanged views on expanding cooperation and reinforcing the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
India and Panama maintain friendly relations based on shared democratic values, mutual respect and cooperation across trade, investment, maritime affairs, connectivity and multilateral forums. The MEA said the foreign minister's visit is expected to provide fresh momentum to bilateral ties and create new opportunities for collaboration across key sectors.
