Kia America presented all-new 2027 Telluride models to Major League Baseball players Jung Hoo Lee of the San Francisco Giants and Ha-Seong Kim of the Atlanta Braves. Lee received a Telluride X-Pro SX Prestige model, while Kim received a Telluride Hybrid X-Line SX Prestige model. The program reflects Kia America’s continued support for Korean players competing in Major League Baseball and celebrates the journey of both players, who built meaningful careers in Korean professional baseball before advancing to the global stage. It also marks the second time Kia America has provided Telluride vehicles to Korean MLB players, following the presentation of 2024 Telluride X-Pro SX Prestige models to Ha-Seong Kim and Woo-Suk Go, then of the San Diego Padres, in 2024.

Lee, who joined the San Francisco Giants in 2024, received a 2027 Telluride X-Pro SX Prestige in Panthera Metal Matte. “I’m very pleased to continue my career with the support of Kia America and alongside the second-generation Telluride,” said Lee. “With its strong driving performance and spacious cargo room, the all-new Telluride will be a dependable companion throughout my Major League career.”

Kim received a 2027 Telluride Hybrid X-Line SX Prestige in Black Jade Green. Kim began his Major League career with the San Diego Padres in 2021, later played for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2025, and now continues his career with the Atlanta Braves. “It’s especially meaningful for me to experience the completely redesigned second-generation Telluride Hybrid after the first-generation model,” said Kim. “The all-new 2027 Telluride builds on the strengths of the previous generation while further enhancing its design, performance, and efficiency, making it an exciting model to experience.”

“We are proud to continue the vehicle loaner program with two Korean Major League players,” said Russell Wager, vice president, marketing, Kia America. “The all-new Telluride presented to the players combines the practicality and versatility expected of a family SUV with the capability to confidently handle a wide range of roads and terrain across the United States.”

The Telluride X-Pro trim presented to Lee offers enhanced off-road capability with an exclusive suspension featuring additional travel stroke, an Electronic Limited Slip Differential (e-LSD), and an impressive 9.1 inches of ground clearance. It also features multiple Drive Modes, including Terrain Mode, along with front and rear recovery points and all-terrain tires that help deliver critical power delivery and increased traction across a wide range of environments beyond everyday city driving.

The Telluride Hybrid model presented to Kim is the first Telluride to offer an available turbo-hybrid powertrain, with the Telluride Hybrid lineup offering up to an EPA-estimated 35 MPG combined and a total driving range of up to 637 miles, depending on trim. Its 2.5-liter turbo powertrain, 1.65-kWh lithium-ion battery, and electric motors produce a combined 329 horsepower and 339 lb.-ft. of torque. The Hybrid also comes standard with Electrification-Vehicle Motion Control (e-VMC), designed to help improve handling and stability by leveraging braking and motor control, resulting in sophisticated power delivery and handling dynamics in a smooth, quiet ride.

The all-new 2027 Kia Telluride is proudly assembled at Kia’s West Point, Georgia, plant and is available at Kia dealers nationwide.
