BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha marked the United States' 250th anniversary through a series of nationwide events celebrating civic pride, community service and interfaith unity as part of the America250 commemoration.
The spiritual organization partnered with America250, the national nonpartisan initiative leading the country's Semiquincentennial celebrations, to host programs highlighting faith, volunteerism and public service across the United States.

BAPS said the anniversary provided an opportunity for South Asian Americans to reflect on the freedoms and opportunities that have enabled generations of immigrants to preserve their cultural heritage while contributing to American society in fields including medicine, education, business, technology and public service.
The organization, which has operated in the United States for more than five decades, organized celebrations at its mandirs that included open houses, interfaith gatherings, service initiatives and patriotic events. Temples across the country were illuminated in red, white and blue as families and community members participated in activities honoring the nation's founding ideals.
At BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in Robbinsville, New Jersey, veterans and community members joined a flag-hoisting ceremony, while devotees gathered to express gratitude for the country. In Los Angeles, the local BAPS mandir held a flag-raising ceremony with veterans and welcomed visitors to learn about Hindu values and community service. In Houston, the mayors of Sugar Land, Missouri City, Pearland and Stafford attended celebrations where the National Anthem was played and the mandir was illuminated in patriotic colors.
The events also featured interfaith discussions and volunteer activities emphasizing religious freedom, pluralism and civic responsibility. BAPS Charities incorporated America250 themes into its annual Walk-Run events, which support local organizations focused on health, education, humanitarian relief, environmental protection and social welfare.
The celebrations were guided by a message from Mahant Swami Maharaj, who encouraged devotees to express gratitude for the freedoms and opportunities available in the United States while continuing to serve their communities through compassion, respect and volunteerism.
