The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University will host the India Business Conference (IBC) 2026 on May 17 at the Kellogg Global Hub in Evanston, Illinois.

Organized by the Kellogg South Asia Club, the conference will center on the theme, “The India Question: How India Leads Growth and Innovation amid Global Uncertainty.” Organizers said discussions will cover artificial intelligence-driven disruption, shifting supply chains, digital public infrastructure, startup innovation, inclusive growth, and global geopolitical changes.

In a LinkedIn post announcing the conference, Kellogg professor Mohanbir Sawhney said the event comes at a time marked by “AI-driven disruption, global conflicts, shifting supply chains, and complex geopolitics.”

“As the world navigates these turbulent waters, a critical question emerges: What role will India play in the next decade of business and geopolitics?” Sawhney wrote.

Sawhney said he co-created the conference alongside Kellogg students and would moderate a fireside chat on how India is “navigating uncertainty and shaping the future of global growth.”

The conference will feature keynote addresses by C. Vijayakumar, CEO and managing director of HCLTech, and former Indian tennis player Vijay Amritraj.

The speaker lineup also includes chef Vikas Khanna, filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, brand strategist Sahiba Bali, telecommunications engineer Sam Pitroda, and Mukesh Aghi, president and CEO of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum.

Panels scheduled for the conference include discussions on technology and leadership, venture capital, geopolitics and growth, and food and culture.

Business leaders participating in the technology and leadership panel include Nitesh Bansal, CEO and managing director of R Systems; Shantala Sadananda, CEO of Motivus; and Rohit Bansal, group head of communications at Reliance.

The venture capital panel is expected to feature Aditya Mishra of BAT VC and Yashwanth Hemaraj of BGV, while entrepreneurs Ayan Sanyal and Ani Sanyal of Kolkata Chai Co., along with Yash Kishinchand of Swadesi Café, are scheduled to participate in the food and culture discussion.

Organizers said the conference will examine how India can balance large-scale growth with rapid innovation as industries and supply chains undergo transformation globally.

The India Business Conference is described by organizers as one of the premier global platforms focused on India’s evolving role in business, technology, and innovation. The annual event brings together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, academics, students, and members of the Indian diaspora through keynote sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.
