The crack of the tennis ball on concrete, the roar of a local crowd, and the improbable dream of fame—the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) has turned this familiar street-side rhythm into a national phenomenon. Now, as the league readies for its third season, the grassroots cricket carnival is set to scale new heights.

The ISPL Season 3 trials, launched on Sunday, will run until Nov. 5 across 101 cities—a sweeping expansion that nearly doubles last year’s reach. More than 4.4 million registrations have poured in, making this India’s largest-ever talent hunt for a short-format cricket league.
