An online inter-faith devotional gathering in New Delhi brought together participants from diverse religious backgrounds to reflect on themes of hope, renewal, and peaceful coexistence amid growing global challenges.

The 75th monthly Family Inter-Faith Devotionals, hosted from Geetanjali Enclave, featured sacred readings, prayers, music, and reflections drawn from Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Sikh, and Bahá’í traditions.

Organizers said the program sought to highlight the common spiritual values shared by the world’s religions and encourage dialogue, understanding, and unity across communities.

Speaking at the event, Kazem Samandari noted that ongoing conflicts and geopolitical tensions around the world have increased the need for messages of hope and reconciliation.

“The teachings of the world’s great faiths remind us of our shared humanity and the importance of working together for peace,” he said.

Readings from sacred texts focused on themes of resilience, faith, compassion, divine mercy, and the renewal of the human spirit. Participants reflected on the role of spirituality in helping individuals and societies navigate periods of uncertainty and change.

The devotional program also incorporated music from both Eastern and Western traditions. Classical works by composers Antonio Vivaldi, Franz Schubert, and Frédéric Chopin were presented alongside devotional chants and prayers, creating an atmosphere of reflection and unity.

A Bahá’í prayer in Hindi, a Sikh mantra, and readings from multiple faith traditions reinforced the evening’s central message that spiritual values can serve as a foundation for mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.

Christine Samandari said the combination of sacred texts and music was intended to deepen participants’ spiritual experience and encourage contemplation beyond religious boundaries.

Among the participants, Amit Deshmukh of MMJP Global Wellness emphasized the importance of inter-faith initiatives in today’s world.

“Programs like these help strengthen social harmony by bringing together people from different faiths, cultures, and backgrounds,” Deshmukh said. “They remind us that our shared values are greater than our differences.”

The event concluded with the song What a Wonderful World, underscoring the gathering’s message of optimism and humanity’s collective capacity to build a more peaceful future.

Organizers said the monthly devotional series will continue to provide a platform for prayer, dialogue, and community engagement, fostering greater understanding among people of different faith traditions around the world. This version closely follows the reporting style typically seen in India Abroad—straight news lead, concise quotes, focus on community significance, and international relevance.
