A team of three Indian-origin students from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago won first place at the Harvard India Conference 2026 Policy Hackathon.
The winning team of Prerna Panda, Ayan Sarkar and Sindhuja Reddy developed UDHAR (Unified Data for Hyperlocal Alternative Ratings), a framework built around a digital “credit passport” and a multi-lender marketplace powered by alternative data.
