Indian-origin man fatally stabbed in West London

Singh's injuries were fatal and despite the efforts of the medical staff, he died at the scene.

26-year-old Indian-origin man Gurbhej Singh was stabbed to death in Southall, West London, the Metropolitan Police said on June 13.

On June 10, the London Ambulance Service arrived on scene after reports of a stabbing on North Road, near the junction with Dormers Wells Lane surfaced.

They discovered two injured men, Singh and another unnamed victim, injured at the scene. Singh's injuries were fatal and despite the efforts of the medical staff, he died at the scene.

The second man, in his 30s, was treated at hospital and later discharged.

The police, initially contacted by the London Ambulance Service, arrived on scene and initiated an investigation into the incident.

Seven men, aged from their early 20s to late 30s, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. Following further enquiries, six have been released with no further action being taken, and one has been bailed to return at a later date.

The Metropolitan Police has appealed for public support in the investigation, urging witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.

Talking about the incident, Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said, “Homicide detectives continue to investigate Mr Singh’s tragic death and my thoughts remain with his family and loved ones."

He added, “I would urge anyone with CCTV covering the area - or who was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to police – to please come forward and speak to police.”

The Metropolitan Police also notified that Singh's family continues to be supported by specialist officers from the department.
