China continued its dominance in the medal tally while the U.S.A.'s Oksana Masters continued her lust for gold medals as she won the women’s sitting 10 km individual cross-country skiing event at the Tesero Cross-Country Skiing Stadium, claiming her third gold medal at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games.
The U.S.A. has so far 14 medals, remaining in the number-two spot. With Oksana’s Masters latest acquisition, the U.S. gold count rose to six. Austria was placed at number three with four golds, while Russia, also with four golds, was placed fourth with a total tally of six.
The second final phase of the games starts on March 13 with playouts in para ice hockey. All eyes are set on the semifinals when the U.S. plays Czechia and Canada takes on China, with the gold medal scheduled for the last day on March 15.

Oksana’s victory marks her eighth Paralympic Winter gold medal and her 13th Paralympic gold medal overall, including those won in cycling at the Paralympic Games.
By defeating the United States in the bronze medal match of the wheelchair curling mixed doubles competition, the Latvian duo of Polina Rozkova and Agris Lasman secured their country’s first medal in the history of the Paralympic Winter Games.
Latvia has participated in four editions of the Paralympic Winter Games and arrived at Milano Cortina 2026 with its largest delegation to date, consisting of seven athletes.
When the final phase of the Paralympic ice hockey tournament starts tomorrow, all eight participating national teams will be seen in action at the Milano Santa Giulia Ice Hockey Arena to determine the final placings in the Paralympic tournament.

The People's Republic of China took its gold tally to 10 by winning the wheelchair curling mixed doubles tournament.
The Chinese team of Meng Wang and Jinqao Yang won the gold, defeating Korea’s Hyejin Baek and Yongsuk Lee at the Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium.
With two more gold medals, Russia moves up to fourth place in the medal table. The medals were won by Anastasiia Bagiian and Ivan Golubkov in Para cross-country skiing.
