Jenifer Rajkumar bags key endorsements for NY re-election bid

Endorsements come from leaders representing Ridgewood, Glendale, and Ozone Park.

New York Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar received endorsements from multiple elected representatives from Queens for her re-election to the New York State Assembly’s 38th District.

Former Ridgewood council member Diana Reyna, Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato, and City Council Member Phil Wong announced their backing recently.

Reyna described Rajkumar’s “hard work, resilience, and deep commitment to the community” as “impossible to ignore.”

“I am proud to endorse Jenifer Rajkumar — someone whose hard work, resilience, and deep commitment to the community are impossible to ignore. As the former representative of Ridgewood, I recognize genuine leadership when I see it. Jenifer’s dedication to every block of our neighborhood and beyond reflects a true love for the people she serves. Her relentless record of achievement makes her deeply deserving of continued support, and I am excited for all that she will continue to do for our district,” Reyna said.



Hevesi cited Rajkumar’s legislative work and coalition-building in Albany.

“As a colleague in the Assembly, I’ve seen firsthand her ability to build coalitions, move legislation, and turn community concerns into real results. She is deeply connected to her district and relentlessly focused on making government work for the people she represents. South Queens is fortunate to have her leadership, and I am proud to stand with Jenifer Rajkumar,” Hevesi said.



Pheffer Amato highlighted Rajkumar’s focus on quality of life and public safety, particularly in Ozone Park, a community shared between their districts.

“I am proud to endorse my colleague, Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar. Representing a neighboring district, we share many of the same communities and priorities, and I have seen firsthand her deep dedication to quality of life and public safety — especially in Ozone Park. She actively builds strong collaborations across government, at both the state and city levels, to deliver real results for her constituents. She is an incredibly hardworking, effective leader who knows how to get things done,” Pheffer Amato said.



Wong said Rajkumar works “seamlessly across both state and city government.”

“Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar knows how to work seamlessly across both state and city government to deliver real results for the people of South Queens. I am proud to share a constituency with her in Glendale and Ridgewood, Wong said.



“To Jenifer, public office is not simply a position — it is a calling.
