TiE Houston discusses TiECon Texas 2026 at Indian consulate

The meeting focused on entrepreneurship, startup collaboration, and India-US technology partnerships ahead of the proposed TiECon Texas event in October 2026.

The Consulate General of India in Houston hosted the leadership team of TiE Houston on May 26 to discuss entrepreneurship initiatives, startup collaboration, and preparations for TiECon Texas 2026.

According to the Consulate, the TiE delegation briefed the Consul General of India in Houston, D.C. Manjunath on the organization’s ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurship, innovation, and cross-border economic engagement between India and the United States.

The discussions focused on opportunities for deeper collaboration between the Consulate and TiE Houston ahead of TiECon Texas, proposed to be held on Oct. 28-29, 2026.

 



“The Consul General appreciated TiE Houston’s sustained efforts in strengthening India–U.S. economic and technology partnerships,” the Consulate said in a statement posted on social media.

TiE, short for The Indus Entrepreneurs, is a global nonprofit network founded in Silicon Valley in 1992 to promote entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking, education, funding, and incubation. The organization now operates across multiple countries and chapters worldwide.

TiE Houston describes its mission as fostering entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking, education, funding, and incubation. The chapter also runs initiatives such as TiE Women, TiE Young Entrepreneurs, investor programs, and startup-focused events.

TiECon conferences organized by various TiE chapters are among the organization’s flagship entrepreneurship events, bringing together founders, investors, industry executives, and startup ecosystem leaders.
