The New York Progressive Action Network (NYPAN) has endorsed Chuck Park in the Democratic primary for New York’s 6th Congressional District.

A former U.S. diplomat and city government leader from Queens, Park is running against incumbent Rep. Grace Meng, who has represented the district for more than a decade and has faced only one primary challenger during that time.

Park said the endorsement reflects shared priorities between his campaign and the organization. “NYPAN was built by everyday New Yorkers who refused to walk away from the fight for justice. Their endorsement reflects what we already feel on the streets: people are hungry for change. Together, we will win this election by putting working families first,” he said.

Maria Ordonez, political director of NYPAN, said, “From ICE raids to healthcare cuts, our communities are being attacked and starved. We need leaders like Chuck Park in Congress who aren't afraid to fight the broken system that's keeping us down. New York Progressive Action Network is proud to support, organize, and build power with Chuck.”

Since launching his campaign in Nov. 2025, Park has relied on community organizing and digital outreach. According to the campaign, his online videos have received millions of views, contributing to volunteer recruitment and small-dollar fundraising within the district.

Park has pledged to refuse contributions from corporate political action committees (PACs), lobbyists, and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Born and raised by Korean immigrant street vendors and small-business owners, Park has centered his campaign on proposals including universal healthcare, universal childcare, and economic justice for working families.

NYPAN, founded in Dec. 2016 by grassroots leaders across the state following that year’s presidential election, is a statewide progressive organization focused on electoral reform, healthcare for all, and social justice.

The group has grown into a network of more than 30 chapters and affiliates, bringing together activists, labor allies, and community organizations across urban, suburban, and upstate communities.
