Vinita Gupta's memoir, 'The Woman In Deed: Road to IP, Bridge Tables and Beyond', will be officially launched on Oct. 5 at Mountain View, California.
Hosted at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View by TiE Silicon Valley, the launch will also feature a special book signing event by Gupta and a fire-side chat between Gupta and Indian American entrepreneur Kanwal Rekhi.
Vinita Gupta is a technology entrepreneur with over four decades in Silicon Valley. She made history as the first Indian-American woman to lead a company to a public listing in the United States. As co-founder of Digital Link Corporation, she served as the company's chairperson and CEO for nearly two decades, steering the company from its founding to its successful IPO.

Born in Lucknow, India, Vinita Gupta holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from IIT Roorkee and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from UCLA. Her telecommunications innovations led to two U.S. patents. Now residing in Woodside, California, she actively pursues writing and competitive bridge.
In her memoir, she takes readers through her personal and insightful journey of being a woman CEO in Silicon Valley, fearlessly navigating male-dominated realms and leading with authenticity and resilience. Through business challenges, family crises, and the rebirth of a competitive card game, Vinita shows what it means to follow your dreams and turn them into deeds worth sharing.
Danny Slomoff, the author of 'The Myth of Public Speaking', heaped praises on Gupta's book and said, “This memoir reads like an adventure story because Vinita’s life is an adventure."

The launch-event will also feature an exclusive opportunity to engage with Gupta directly and an opportunity to form a deeper understanding of the former tech-CEO's life.
