Featured speakers include D.C. Manjunath, Consul General of India in Houston; Atul Keshap, president of USIBC and senior vice president for South Asia at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; Jeremy Martin, president and chief executive officer of the Austin Chamber of Commerce; Anupam Govil, chairman of the U.S.-India Chamber of Commerce, Austin; Susan Davenport, president and chief executive officer of Opportunity Austin; and Mark Hanson, vice president of operations at the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce.
USIBC said the forum will bring together government representatives, local officials, business and industry leaders, and member executives to explore ways to further expand the U.S.-India economic corridor and unlock growth opportunities in the region.
The organization noted that Austin has emerged as a key center for collaboration between the United States and India as economic ties continue to grow across sectors including technology, manufacturing and innovation.
Participants will have an opportunity to engage with policymakers and business leaders, raise issues affecting their companies in Texas or India, and receive updates on developments including ongoing trade negotiations, tariff-related issues and the economic implications of the conflict in West Asia.
According to USIBC, the roundtable is the second Texas-focused program under its 2026 Great States Initiative and will highlight opportunities for collaboration across technology, innovation, investment and advanced manufacturing sectors. It follows a June 9 event in Houston, titled “The Texas-India Advantage: Deepening Partnerships Between Growth Economies.”
The Texas events are part of USIBC’s broader Great States Initiative, launched in Atlanta in April, which aims to strengthen state-level economic engagement between the United States and India by connecting policymakers, businesses and regional stakeholders.
