President Donald Trump on Oct. 10 described a newly brokered Gaza cease-fire as a turning point toward “peace in the Middle East,” saying the deal would return hostages and end years of conflict.

Speaking at the White House, Trump said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “wanted it” and called the agreement “a great deal for Israel, but a great deal for everybody — for Arabs, for Muslims, for the world.”
