Trailer drops for Mindy Kaling’s ‘Not Suitable for Work’

The comedy series follows five ambitious young professionals navigating careers, friendships and romance in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood.

Streaming platform Disney+ unveiled the official trailer and key art for “Not Suitable for Work,” the upcoming comedy series created by Mindy Kaling, on May 8, ahead of its June premiere

The trailer introduces a fast-paced look at the lives of five career-driven twenty-somethings navigating demanding jobs, friendships and dating in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood.

Scenes in the trailer show chaotic office dynamics, awkward workplace encounters and personal misadventures as the group attempts to balance professional ambition with personal happiness.

 

The comedy stars Ella Hunt, Avantika, Will Angus, Jack Martin, Nicholas Duvernay and Jay Ellis. Recurring guest stars include Victor Garber, Greg Germann, Judy Gold, Ego Nwodim, Harry Richardson, Constance Wu, Laura Bell Bundy, May Hong, Bhavesh Patel, Emilia Suárez and Michael Benjamin Washington.

Disney+ said the series will premiere with its first three episodes on June 2, followed by two episodes released weekly on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ internationally. The first season will consist of eight 30-minute episodes.

“Not Suitable for Work” marks Kaling’s latest television comedy following projects including “Never Have I Ever,” “The Sex Lives of College Girls” and “The Mindy Project.”

Kaling created the series and executive produces alongside showrunner Charlie Grandy and Howard Klein of 3 Arts Entertainment. The show is produced by Kaling International in association with Warner Bros. Television.
