“We are honored to represent the United States at the World Yogasana Championship 2026. Our mission is to promote Yogasana as both a sport and a pathway to wellness, discipline, unity, and healthy living. Team USA athletes have worked tirelessly to prepare for this prestigious global event, and we are proud of every participant representing our nation," Balwinder Singh stated.

The championship is expected to bring together athletes, officials, and Yogasana representatives from multiple countries, reflecting the growing international recognition of yoga as both a cultural practice and an organized sport.

For the Indian American community, the event carries added significance as it connects the traditional Indian discipline of yoga with a new generation of athletes in the United States, where interest in wellness-based sports continues to expand.

The federation said it is also working to broaden Yogasana awareness nationwide through competitions, athlete development programs, training camps, educational initiatives, and community wellness outreach. It called on schools, yoga institutions, sponsors, and wellness communities across the United States to support Team USA during the championship.
