SF Consul opens India Pavilion at GDC Festival of Gaming

Consul General of India in San Francisco, Srikar Reddy, inaugurated the India Pavilion at the GDC Festival of Gaming on March 11.

The objective of the Game Developers Conference (GDC), held annually in San Francisco, is to bring the entire B2B games industry together.

The event includes an expo, networking events, and awards shows like the Game Developers Choice Awards and Independent Games Festival, and a variety of tutorials, lectures, and roundtables by industry professionals on game-related topics covering programming, design, audio, production, business and management, and visual arts.

The pavilion aims to highlight India’s rapidly growing gaming ecosystem and promote collaboration between Indian developers and global industry leaders.

Consulate General of India in San Francisco took to X to make the announcement, and wrote,

“As the world’s largest gathering of game developers and industry professionals, GDC brings together global leaders for expert sessions, panels, and exhibitions on game design, technology, and business.”



“The India Pavilion spotlights India’s vibrant gaming ecosystem, showcasing homegrown developers, fostering international partnerships, and positioning #India as a rising powerhouse in the global gaming industry.”

The initiative underscores India’s broader push to promote its digital and creative economy on the international stage while creating new opportunities for cross-border collaboration in gaming and interactive entertainment.
