The Consulate General of India in Atlanta hosted the Annual Indian Community Association Forum 2026 on March 8, bringing together leaders, professionals, and members of the Indian diaspora to discuss ways to enhance collaboration, civic engagement, and community support.
The forum served as a platform for representatives of Indian community organizations across the region to connect, exchange ideas, and explore collective initiatives that can benefit the diaspora.

In his remarks, the Consul General presented an overview of the Consulate’s responsibilities, highlighting key consular services as well as various initiatives of the Government of India aimed at supporting Indians living abroad.
He encouraged community organizations to work closely together and develop stronger collaboration to advance shared goals and amplify their collective impact.

Several speakers addressed the gathering, offering perspectives on leadership, civic participation, and community welfare.
Subhash Razdan, PBSA awardee, emphasized the importance of building stronger networks among organizations and called for the development of a “minimum common program” to guide joint action and maximize community impact.
Community leader Rajeev Menon spoke about the importance of civic engagement at the county level, while Raj Razdan highlighted the need to empower senior citizens within the diaspora, focusing on health, social connection, and supportive care systems that promote well-being and inclusion.
Neil Patel and Eskalin Joe brought focus to the role of the Reaction Team in addressing community needs during emergencies.
