Perplexity AI CEO Aravind Srinivas stoked controversy after he described job losses as a 'glorious opportunity' and claimed that most people do not enjoy their jobs.
The comments came at a particularly sensitive time with Oracle laying off 20,000–30,000 jobs globally. The AI company CEO's comments are all the more troubling to Netizens because Oracle has reportedly undertaken the massive layoff exercise in an attempt to free up funds for a massive AI data center expansion worth $50 billion.
