A study led by Indian-origin researcher Dr. Mandar Deepak Muzumdar found that the type of dietary fat consumed, rather than the total amount, may play a critical role in the development of pancreatic cancer, according to findings published April 29 in the journal Cancer Discovery.
The study, led by Muzumdar, an associate professor of genetics and internal medicine at Yale School of Medicine, examined how different dietary fats affected pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, or PDAC, one of the deadliest forms of cancer.
