California Senate honors Indian-origin music prodigy Tiara Abraham

Abraham, a child-prodigy, is a student of Doctor of Music at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music at the age of 19.

Indian-origin musical prodigy Tiara Thankam Abraham was honored by the California State Senate on Dec. 18 with a senate resolution. The senate recognized her achievements in the fields of music, academics, and community service.

19-year-old Abraham is a student of Doctor of Music at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. She recently graduated with the Master of Music degree at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Before moving to Indiana, she graduated from her home state of California with her BA (Music) summa cum laude from University of California, Davis at just 16, after finishing High School at the age of 13.

Celebrating Abraham's achievement, CA State Senator Angelique Ashby said on X, "So proud to recognize Tiara Thankam Abraham, a Sacramento native whose talent, discipline, and heart inspire us all."

Senator Ashby added, "It was an honor to present this resolution and celebrate a young leader who represents the very best of California."
