CPICS to premiere ‘Death and Taxis,’ ‘Yogacize’ on June 5

The streaming platform, which focuses on independent and South Asian diaspora storytelling, is expanding its original programming slate with two new releases.

CPICS.TV, a streaming platform offering South Asian and crossover content, will premiere two original productions on June 5, as it expands its slate of independent films and lifestyle programming.

The new releases include the psychological drama Death and Taxis and the wellness program Yogacize, both directed by Kevin Mukherji and written by Nick Pullia.

According to the platform, the two titles will premiere exclusively on the platform as part of its effort to expand original programming focused on diverse storytelling and independent creators.

Death and Taxis follows a series of taxi drivers and passengers navigating psychological and supernatural encounters linked to life and death. Set inside a city cab, the story explores memories, fears, and mysterious experiences faced by its characters.

The film stars James Y. Jones, Heather Miller, and Rich Komenich.

The second title, Yogacize, focuses on yoga-inspired wellness practices aimed at reducing stress and improving physical and mental well-being. According to the platform, the program also explores how yoga techniques can support athletes through improved flexibility, balance, and focus.
