The 14th Annual DC South Asian Film Festival ended this week with sold-out screenings, standing ovations and strong praise from filmmakers and audiences.
Festival organisers said the three-day event opened with Main Actor Nahin Hoon and closed with Pyre, which drew packed theatres and standing applause. Both films, according to organisers, were “house full” and reflected the enthusiasm of the South Asian diaspora in the nation’s capital.
