Bilawal Bhutto Calls for Comprehensive Dialogue with India, Skirts Terrorism Commitment

Bhutto said Islamabad is now ready to discuss all contentious issues—including Kashmir, terrorism, and water rights.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the former Foreign Minister of Pakistan, sought a comprehensive dialogue with India on June 3, without committing that his country would take anti-terrorist actions as demanded by India for such a dialogue to take place.

Zardari, who is the Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, in fact went on a spree of statements against India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and reiterated the Pakistani position of a third-party, American intervention to help de-escalate tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
